Published in 2007, L’Offrande poétique is Vincent Figuri’s first collection of poetry. Attracted by painting, Vincent titled one of his collections Etudes-Tableaux, with reproductions of paintings opposite the poems. Here’s an extract (in french), La Grande Réserve, inspired by the painting of the same name by David Caspar Friedrich.

Dans l’azur jaune et bleu, libre je plongerai.
Aboli, mon corps virevoltera
Néantisé, éther et je saurai.
Je quitterai cette rotonde,
Manège insane, creuset hybride
